Suggested settings for low-end devices, 4K/HDR setups, slow internet, and anime.

Low-end devices

  • Prefer 720p or 1080p H.264 sources.
  • Reduce buffer cache if memory is limited.
  • Disable addons you rarely use.
  • Avoid heavy HDR or AV1 sources if decoding stutters.

4K and HDR

  • Prefer direct or cached sources.
  • Use wired or strong Wi-Fi.
  • Check Dolby Vision fallback if colors look wrong.
  • Keep hardware decoding enabled if stable.

Slow internet

  • Use manual source selection and choose smaller files.
  • Prefer 720p/1080p over 4K.
  • Increase forward buffer if available.
  • Avoid uncached torrents.

Anime

  • Connect MyAnimeList or Simkl for progress tracking.
  • Enable preferred subtitle language.
  • Enable skip intro and recap if detection works well for your sources.
  • Create seasonal anime collections.
